Ricky is the band's drummer and brings with him an amazing resume of experience.  He was the drummer on Sesame Street for 17 years and can be heard on all Sesame Street recorded music since 1994.  He worked for 30 years with "Wonderous Stories," one of Long Island, NY's best and most popular cover bands.  He can be heard on the TV show "Bump in the Night" and Disney's "The Little Mermaid."  He has played alongside artists such as Rick Derringer, Denny Laine, Felix Cavaliere, Mark Farner and Gary Wright, just to name a few.

 

 

"Ricky Martinez might be the happiest drummer in the world."  That's what people always say when they see his big smile at the drums.  His smile means more than even he realizes, Ricky says, as the drums move him in an almost mystical manner. He reminds us that the early shamans were all drummers and were banging out the rhythms of life as well as music.
